Diana Rodríguez, MD, MPH is a board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist in high-risk pregnancies and has been in practice since 2001. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Deeply dedicated to teaching, Dr. Rodríguez is a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Rodríguez graduated cum laude from Harvard-Radcliffe in 1989 and completed her Medical Degree at Harvard Medical School. During that time, she also completed a Masters of Public Health with a focus on community health. She received multiple awards from Harvard Medical School including Hewlett-Packard Top Medical Graduate and two service awards. Dr. Rodríguez completed her residency and fellowship training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Directly following, Dr. Rodríguez served active duty as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where she received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
Dr. Rodríguez has served as the Director of Practice Standards and Safety at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and as clerkship director for medical and physician assistant students at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. As a passionate career mentor and teacher, Dr. Rodríguez has been recognized with numerous awards from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and Tufts Medical Center. Steadfast in her belief to support the community, Dr. Rodríguez currently serves as the matching director for the First Generation Harvard Alumni Mentorship program and as the gala co-chair for EVkids, a mentorship program for Boston youth.
Dr. Rodríguez has published in the areas of ultrasound, provider-initiated preterm delivery, pre-eclampsia, and cervical length assessment and is a peer reviewer for the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology. Recognizing early placental development can play a key role in many complications during pregnancy, Dr. Rodríguez is a staunch advocate for preconception education and care, urging women to plan ahead for a healthy pregnancy.
Dr. Rodríguez founded WE Care Boston in 2018 with the mission to enhance and improve the individual care women receive before, during, and after pregnancy. By providing expert consultative services to address the needs of each patient, while working in partnership with their providers, WE Care Boston is committed to giving exceptional care to women at every phase of pregnancy.
Most importantly, heart is at the center of Dr. Rodríguez’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice. She brings dedication, focus, and personalized care to guiding women through the wonders and risks of pregnancy. Gratified by working collaboratively with obstetrical providers and committed to being readily available, Dr. Rodríguez has been recognized by her peers who have consistently nominated her for Boston magazine’s Top Docs™ since 2015.
